Our trip to Vegas!

Mitch and I decided to spend the weekend in Vegas for our 11 year anniversary! What a BLAST that was - We bought a package deal and went to a comedy show "Gordy Brown" and dinner was included. Gordy Brown was hilarious, I laughed so hard! We were VIP on the front row and got picked on with some humor, it was all in fun! We chose Hawaiian Tropic, it was delightful. It was a 5 star fine dining, great experience! The appetizer we chose was Market Salad warm bacon, walnuts, pears, tomato, goat cheese & walnut vinaigrette, my entree was Roasted Organic Chicken Breast whipped potatoes, roasted baby vegetables and Mitch had Pan Seared Salmon creamy polenta, wild mushroom ragout.. The dessert was HEAVAN, we had the Warm Flourless Chocolate Souffle Cake pistachio ice cream, strawberries with a soulette cookie shaped as a women! We didn't want to drink after this dessert to ruin our tastebuds... LOL

We shopped at lots of fun stores! Checked out some new sites that we haven't seen in Vegas! We decided not to get into any cabs that we would walk the entire weekend! And we did :) It was so relaxing though, we stopped in to Casino's and other stores but most importantly had great conversations along the way! We hung out and 2 or 3 different lounge bar and grilles. Met some fun people! We did hang out and the pool, but the wind blew really hard so to to get into the pool was freezing cold, I decided not - that it would be no fun.... So we did more shopping :) Can't go wrong with that! It was a wonderful weekend, I am so glad we got to spend it together!

I am honored to be Mitch's wife, I look forward to many more years :)

Happy Anniversary! Mom & Dad

I wanted to write you a short note expressing my love to the most wonderful parents. When I was young, I remember saying that I would never leave your side, thank you for your caring love for me as your child, because no matter how old I am I will always be your child. Now I have grown and see the love you two share. I now realize that’s the way life is. I have learned so much from you two, I pleasure every moment I am with you. God gave me a blessing, For having two loving parents as great and loving as you. You two are great and I am so proud or your 33 years together! Thank you for the wonderful memories of watching my mother and father love each other. Now that I remember all of those loving moments it occurs to me how much my mom and dad still love each other as much today as they did 33 years ago. what a blessing the both of you have been to me. I have so much to be thankful for, but I would not have any of those blessings if it were not for the blessing of my Mom and Dad loving each other for 33 years. I love you both so much, And I hope for so many years for you two together.; For the parents, I so dearly love., Your’s truly, Krischelle

11 year Anniversary!~

Marriage is...... two people united as husband and wife, two hearts with one love joined to share a new life, two paths come together, a new world begun, new joys to discover as two become one........................ Two lives, two hearts joined together in friendship united forever in love.

Mitch and I will be celebrating our 11 year anniversary, Saturday April 19th. It is an amazing feeling the love I have for Mitch, over these past 11 years how much we have grown together in so many ways. We both have become such mature friends, lovers, parents, partners etc......... I thought it would be nice to honor one of our most treasured days!

Our wedding day, this moment was more sentimental, the atmosphere more festive and the mood was even more joyful..... because it celebrates our love..... now join our hands, and with our hands, our hearts... As we go through life together "Hand in hand and heart to heart", May we find along the way the realization of our dreams! We have great health, a great marriage, two beautiful children Kassidee and Maddison. Great success,. I remember that no matter how complicated or crazy our days may get, one simple, timeless truth is forever in my heart... I LOVE YOU

Old School GlamorShots

I came across this photo of my 1st glamor shot, done in 1995. YUP, 16 years old and barely driving!! I am taking a tole on how much you think I've changed in 13 years. Leave me a comment or you can email me @ mkwood6@wavepointmail.com Being 16 was actually a fun time for me. I had a job working in retail under my parents, I had a car, lots of friends, enjoyed shopping, going to movies, raging waters, lagoon, scrapbooking, drill team, track team, an honor student and much more fun times.. I am writing about these experiences and memories for my girls to read later on once this book is published. This has been my 2nd glamor shot in my lifetime, the other being my drill team one. I would really love to do them again with my girls! It was a fantastic experience! You feel like your famous or a model getting all dressed up for a photo shoot. At least that's how I felt at the time. They are fun because you can express yourself in your own way.

Just thought I would share another special moment in my life.

1 on 1 day with Nanni

I have to brag for a minute, Grandparents ROCK!!!! My mom being one of them! She is SO awesome with my girls. She does one on ones with them about once a month and they go to musuems, movies, library, parks, ice cream, shopping etc.. It is a great bonding time for my girls to have with their nanni. Besides the fun gifts they always get, because let's face it that's what grandparents do is spoil them :) But they get the opportunity to talk about school, what they want to be when they grow up, goals, and alot more of fun things and it's awesome how much pride they have in their grandparents. They always tell me if they ever needed to talk to someone and Mitch and I weren't around that they could always talk to their grandparents. I have to give my mom alot of credit - she has raised me to become the person I am today! I owe her so much and I in return teach my girls what I was taught by my parents..to show my love and appreciation as they do with me..... It is hard somedays being a parent, learning all the tools to raise your children, and those days I need help and advise, MY MOM is always there for me

THANKS MOM :)

Girls got these Hanna Montana wigs!! Oh, how adorable they are, I had to take photos and post them! They love to dress up, so these are fun to add to the collection. They can even wear them out in public, they match their hair so well...

They also got Moon Sand which is way cool stuff! They can build castles or whatever they want and I told them we'll take photos of their creativity :) This is so fun to see my girls doing activities together and how they have such a close bond... I am so proud, and have so much joy in my life!

Class of 96

Special Day "Graduation"! I remember those days, how fun high school was and how much I enjoyed my friends and being in Drill team, dance and track.. How fun it was going to prom etc.... Okay, so maybe one day I'll post those photos of my chessy grins and chin up high.. lol
I was actually looking at some older scrapbooks and came across my graduation picture! I thought it would be fun to do a post regarding my school days. I'm sure the girls would love to hear all about my past and how I met their wondeful dad :) My sophmore year I attended Cottonwood High and was a Chapparel, it was a great year for me. I took all excelerated classes to try and graduate early, until the next year I found out they were going to quit the drill team. I was pretty disappointed and very upset that I told my mother that it wasn't fair so I wanted to attend Taylorsville High, plus I lived like 3 miles away so it was better for me... It was funny where we lived 5400 south was the dividing of the two schools and I happen to be on the Cottonwood end. So my mother had to get a special permit.. My Junior year wasn't so fun, I didn't make dance, cheerleading, track team, nothing, I was really hard on myself and yes still like that today! I tried so hard, and my poor self esteem was flushed. That is why I teach my girls that you need to keep your head high - NO MATTER WHAT... So my Senior year I decided that I wanted to work full time instead, so I attended night school and worked all day! I had the BEST teacher ever! She was such an inspiration and I thank her still to this day. It was a challenge, I had a different life, I had to get to bed right after so I could get up for work. I didn't hang out with any of my friends (but my night school ones) because we were all at school Hee Hee...... I had to do most of my homework on the weekends. I learned alot being in night school - I learned to be more responsible and of course I met the LOVE of my LIFE...... Mitch

** My little Posers **

Kassidee and Maddison are my two favorite girls in this whole wide world... They teach me so much about why I love to be a mommy every day! They have especially taught me patience! They both have such wonderful personalities, so smart, fun, loving, artistic, and many more... I can't believe how time just flies by, Kassidee going on 8 this July and Maddison 5 in July. I think back and remember when they were only newborns, how precious one can be and how they have grown and become so independant! It's a hard thought to have knowing they will eventually grow up and leave me, something I have time to get over :) Kassidee and Maddison continue to grow up and get more beautiful each day! I try to be the best mom in the world, I am always helping them with their homework, making sure they understand and teaching them that education is very important! I help them reach any goals they might have, teaching them that you can reach anything you set your mind too..... I try everyday to set an example for my children, us as parents set the pace! Mitch and I care so much and want the best for our girls and will do anything we can to teach them everything and anything :) I want my girls to know that we all have a drive and to be motivated will help you succeed in life. I am teaching them self respect and self esteem! I am truly blessed to have such wonderful kids! I love them with all my heart.........

Making Friends :)

Another lesson that I've been reading up on, making friends and how they can be important and impact us in our life! I am very BLESSED with the friends that I have in my life, especially my husband and kids.... There are so many great things I could say about all my friends that would take up a million books, I love and appreciate everyone in my life! I hope I can endure these fun experiences and memories to my girls and they can take on in their own lives. I love talking with my girls and teaching them ALL I KNOW :)

* Bullying *

This has been a current subject in our home! I have talked with my girls about the definition of a bully and how it can effect a person to be bullyed. I have read this entire brochure over and over so that I am prepared to help my child when she comes home from being bullied, or be prepared to talk with my child who is the bully! I am teaching my girls self-respect, I am letting my child know it's OK to express anger or dissatisfaction. I am teaching my kids to avoid body language, gestures, faces and words that put them in danger. I encourage them to have healthy friendships so that they are not alone at school or in our community! I am teaching my kids to communicate clearly, yet diplomatically. I am teaching them how and when to be assertive! I am teaching self-talk, so they can stand tall and develop a positive sense of self :) I am teaching them to walk away from situations with bullies, and that it's OK to ask for help!!!!

Helping my Kids

I came across some ways to assist my children in their homework and raising them to be responsible. I know parenting comes natural (LOL), but anything I can read to help assist me or teach me better ways I'm in :) Kassidee and Maddison are so different in so many ways, their personalities, looks, acts, handwriting, etc.... I love the fact that I can teach them in their own way of understanding and time frames! Both of my girls are SO smart and progressing so much, I hope I can continue to read parenting books, ways to better me as a parent because come junior high and high school I need to be able to support my children in hard times like understanding their math homework and how to write essays! Schooling is VERY important to me, and I will do whatever it takes to keep them interested and involved.....

Keeping his memory ALIVE

My loving brother Ryan has been laying in peace, which will be 3 years in September. I think of him everyday and know he's watching over all of us. The joys of seeing his kids grow up is priceless. I wish Ryan could be here to enjoy seeing them grow up, but deep in my heart I know he is up above. I am PROUD and HONORED to be the Aunt of his kids! Anthony, Kellsie, Kody and Shianne :) They are growing up so fast and it makes me happy to see the smiles on their faces!
They all have such amazing personalities, and doing so well in life. I cherish the moments and the time I do get whether it's a photo or them vacationing down here away from their homes!

Anthony is getting so big, he'll be going into Kindergarten this coming year! Anthony is into Motorcross and has his own 4 wheeler. His mom says he's SO smart (I'll second that) he just learned to spell mississippi, thanks to his big brother, Cadence!! He also has his own Bow so he can go hunting with the BIG boys :) I sure MISS him dearly and can't wait to see him.........

Kellsie (7) now in 1st grade. She also loves school, she tells me she loves doing the centers. She also says her favorite subject is Math because she gets to do shapes! She wants to be a Dentist when she grows up, I asked her why? She said because she wants to help people fix their teeth :) Loves the color light Blue, and for fun loves to play at the park and go swimming!

Kody (8) now in 2nd grade loves school. She tells me her favorite subject is Math because its fun :) She enjoys coloring and playing with her cousins. She loves the color pink. Kody is a FISH and loves to swim, she tells me she wants to be on a swim team. Way to go GIRL :)

Shianne (14), now and in 8th grade is trying out for Cheer (Yahoo) which she totally has the drive and attitude for, and she would be such a cute one too :) Good luck honey!! Her grades are wonderful and she is loving being a teenager! Love her pose! Always posing :) I can totally see her as becoming a model, look at those lips... MOOOOOOOCHA

A Little Tribute

For two special people in my life who will alway share a special place in my heart. This goes out to my parents Ken and Debby :)

My parents are the Light in the path of my life....

Thanks for being there for me through all my years! You have NO idea how much appreciation I have for the two of you. I am the person today because of your fantastic raising skills, love, encouragment, pride and support. I'm happy that you care, and that you love me. You sacrified so much just so I could be here, you're so strong as my parents, Your beautiful people inside and out I don't ever want you to change. Yeah, you get on my nerves it happens, but I get on yours! That's what makes our relationship grow, But in the end I know that my parents are watching over me.......Smiling and watching over my every move... I struggle and I make mistakes and that's why you're here to help me through it and give your best advise....I'm crying inside as I write this, the love I have for you is so infinite I can't put it in words!!

I love you from the very bottom of my heart, I swear as long as I have blood rushing through my veins and as long as I have oxygen in my body I will always, even beyond that I will always love you.

Creative Artists

Kassidee and Maddison are very interested and LOVE to paint, color, draw, scetch, anything that has to do with Art so that they can glitter it up :) Here are one of their creative art projects they both did which BOTH turned out fantastic! It's fun to watch them and let them be free with all the colors and see their creativity. I don't hold back on letting them make a mess, that is what art is all about. We explore the tools and techniques used so that they can become worlds greatest colorists. We talk about the color wheel, which consist of the primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors, complementary colors, neutral colors, and warm and cool colors

Quote "If I could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint." Remember you can take it anywhere!

Something I remind my girls, to have passion and that you can be different have your own idea's. If you believe it go for it :)
