It's that time of year! Carving pumpkins, which I LOVE. This is such a fun activity to do and watch... We taught the girls that pumpkins are a large round orange fruit. Pumpkins grow on a vine along the ground. The thick inside pulp can be eaten and is often used for making pies. People in the United States also carve and decorate pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns to celebrate Halloween.
I love the yummy oven roasted seeds you get to bake. The smell of pumpkins is one of my favorites. The girls had such a blast drawing and cutting out their faces. Each one was awesome and had it's own identity! Mitch was trooper, dad's are the best when they clean the pumpkin! Mitch's face is priceless in the photos! The gooie feeling of the pulp and preparing the seeds to be baked. I am looking forward to Friday, Halloween costumes, parties, parades, trick or treating. The enjoyment of seeing the excitement in our girls...

Champion
Kassidee has been in gymnastic's and has shown a great passion for this sport.. Coach has been very impressed with her, said she is definitely a natural and has shown interest in everything they've shown in training. Kassidee practices even at home and said she wanted to try out for the gymnastic's team next April. YEAH!! She is in the Junior Bronze class working towards the Gold class and told her to finish the year and if she wanted to focus on tryouts for the team - we'll support her in whatever decision she makes.
I love to hear how "Awesome" she is doing - I love to go and watch her too, she progresses every week :) Nice job Kassidee!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is walking on her hands now, I can't even do that (LOL) but practice makes perfect... :)

Nice Swing
Maddison is playing Tennis and loving "EVERY" minute of it... Her Coach on the first day of practice told Mitch she is a natural :) That's always nice to hear as a parent, GO Maddison!! It is the cutest story on how Maddison got involved in this amazing sport. GUESS??????????? The Wii - That's right, the Wii, she played and played and said Mom, Dad, I think I want to play Tennis.. Mitch and I both said okay and enrolled her.
The first 10 weeks are sessions to teach the game, proper stance, proper swings etc.. Once she is completed and gets her certificate then her coach places her in a tennis team. This would mean we'd buy her own Tennis racket and she'll get to wear the cute tennis outfits :) Boy is she excited for that.... She'll also be practicing more hours and days throughout the week. So we told her if this is what she wants we'll focus on this sport for her and support her all the way!! Its so cool to watch her! I love that she even makes the cute grunts when she swings...

Fall Jackets
It's that time of year to buy the fall jackets! Yes, I know I'm not too happy about our heat going from 112 down to the 70's. But we have to deal with the jacket season (LOL)... We took the girls shopping and below are there new jackets! They're cute huh! They had to show them off of course and you know their mom, had to post about it :)
Also, one of my blogger bud's Tambo had a really cool photo posted on her blog from a site ROCKYOU... So I had to copy - I love Sepia

Flower Poem
Kassidee and Maddison are such great artist's. They have been working on a variety of projects that involve painting, sketching, coloring, sculpting etc... Kassidee came across a poem that she really likes and would like to memorize it, so we have it on our fridge and everyday she reads it and says "Aw so beautiful" too cute................
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Flowers are rainbows of colors,
It's true!
Bright yellow sunflowers,
Orange touch-me nots,
Pretty pink peonies,
Planted in pots,
Lavender lilacs,
Zinnias bright green,
White garden lillies,
Like you've never seen!
Goldenrods gold,
Bluebells so blue,
Rainbows of flowers
For me and for you!

Another "FUN" Workshop
Mitch and the girls went to do their monthly Daddy/Daughter Day at the "Home Depot" workshop for October. They got to build these COOL Fire engines. They came home and painted them of course with such excitment... The first one below is Kassidee's and the second one is Maddison's. They did such an amazing job on them.
I can't express enough the joy and happiness I feel right now... I love the bond that Mitch and I have with our girls! I love all that we do for and with them! They are such amazing kids, and it makes me happy to see them smile :) They both are doing so well in school, and this just makes it even more fun to see their independancy and growth in all aspects.

I miss my Beautiful Niece's
Kodi and Kellsie have been up from Salt Lake with us for the past week. My mom, April and I have enjoyed and loved them since they've been here... They slept over Thursday night and all day Friday! It was so much fun hanging out with them.... They are just growing up way too fast. We played Disney Monopoly and the girls played barbi's and danced to music. We got to enjoy lunch and talked awhole lot :) We stopped and got treats and donuts etc... They are doing so well in school and I want them to know how "PROUD" of them I am. I am so honored to be their Aunt... I enjoy every minute I get to see and spend time with them. I love you guys with all my heart :)

Gotta LOVE the 80's

Do you remember the 80's? It was a time of big hair and sweater vests, leg warmers and parachute pants. A time where both pop and hair bands ruled the music scene. Debbie Gibson, Madonna, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake...just to name a few.
I got a moment to relive the 80's (see photos' at bottom). I know, I was only born in '78...but I had a Rubik's cube, plenty of Cabbage Patch Kids and what kid DIDN'T have an Atari console back then? I mean, really. I watched the Smurfs and played with Strawberry Shortcake dolls, My Little Ponies, Rainbow Brite, He-Man & She-Ra... And EVERYBODY had to have Pop Rocks.
Remember those Members Only jackets? How cheesy were those? And of course, every girl had ripped Jordache jeans with spandex shorts underneath (oh, the horror!)...not to mention the guys got in on that fad too... Remember Flashdance and The Breakfast Club? What about Sixteen Candles? I'm sure just about everyone's seen Back to the Future and The Karate Kid...and don't forget cheesy 80's horror flicks!
Alright. Enough already. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is as follows:
Write me something about the 80's. Length doesn't matter, but the longer it is, the funnier it should be. I have a relatively short attention span. Please, make it funny if you can. I'm a big fan of humor. Either write about one trend from the 80's or many. I don't care.
Jackie, I hope you don't kill me for posting this, but I couldn't resist...... While I was down visiting I stayed at her house and she had a late night birthday party at Classic Skating. The theme was 80's and they got to dress up and go rollerskating! How cool is that, bringing back the 80's.... LOVE THE LEG WARMERS... I was so honored when I got to take a photo with two of the hottest chicks. Boy they pulled it off, and her hubby Jason ROCKED! I am glad they had a great time...
