Mitch has started a daddy daughter day with both the girls... It has been such a wonderful experience for all three of them! Not only does it give them more time to have one on one together, but they build projects together... Mitch loves to build, he was born to do it and found that Home Depot does these Free workshops, and thought this would be so cool to do with his girls! I love to see their faces when they come home and are so excited to show me what they did and how dad helped them every step of the way. They tell me how proud dad is of them :) We each try to do One on One's once a month with the girls - also trying to do things that are free so that we can teach our girls the value of quality time.

The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.
