"Children learn what they LIVE"

If a child lives with criticism,He learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,He learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,He learns to be SHYING.
If a child lives with shame,He learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,He learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,He learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,He learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness,He learns justince.
If a child lives with security,He learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,He learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,He learns to find love in the world.

Pre "Valentine's Day"

Kassidee and Maddison put there valentine's together last night and had a great time! Maddison chose Bratz and Kassidee chose Cheetah Girls. They came with tattoo's and stickers so they wrote their names and stuck the tattoo's on with their pink heart stickers! It was cute to watch them, because they helped each other finish them all. Then they made some for their nanny and papa, cousins, and other friends not in there class! They were awesome when they were finished. We also read a book about valentines's day, and how to share and show love to one another! Maddison has her party today (Wednesday) at pre-school and Kassidee party is tomorrow (Thursday). I am involved in both so it's fun to see all the kids hand out their cute valentines! It's also fun to plan the activities for the kids... I cant wait to give the girls their cute things I got for them. I got each one a cute valentines shirt, coloring book with a fluffy pen. A puzzle, mini bear and a heart shaped chocolate box. It fits into these cute fluffy purses they can use for dress up.....

"Beautiful Day"

Sunday was such a warm sunny day! The girls played outside most of the day. Let me tell you - they were so EXCITED to wear tanks and short sleeve without jackets... Yahoo
It is finally nice to go outside and ride bikes and just hang out. The girls were so cute, showing me all their cute tricks on their scooters! Girls are definitely outdoor status! They love the heat and the water........... I am looking forward to this summer! I can't believe how big there getting. Kassidee will be 8 and Maddison 5 in July!

Perfect Attendance

My little Kassidee got a certificate today for perfect attendance! I couldn't resist I had to show it off :) Kassidee loves school SO much, she even goes when she's not feeling good either! So proud that she cares about her work and attendance at school. We are getting ready for her Valentine's Party! I love planning these too.

Unbelievable "SNOW" in St George

Oh my goodness, I am having flashbacks of Salt Lake.... LOL

Sunday evening (Superbowl to be exact), we got to enjoy seeing snow fall in sunny St George. Big flakes mind you! I remember the last two years in Febuary I was wearing shorts and tanks... Oh not this year, it's heavy coats with hats and gloves! The girls were diggin it though, having snow ball fights. They wanted to make a snowman, but there poor little fingers were frozen. My camera batteries went dead - so I missed out on some cute photos of them! No excuse, I could've drove my butt to buy batteries but roads were pretty bad! And of course no one knew how to drive. We had so many accidents... ha ha ha
It was fun though, wish it would have done this Christmas day... Mitch and I were laughing - we said we're pretty sure this is why we moved here (for NO SNOW).. hee hee
It was cute, we got home from Superbowl and Mitch said "I don't even have a snow shovel" so he used his big squeegie! Again, had no camera to take that one either :( Then to top the night off, our power went out while the girls were in the tub. You could only imagine how fast I got the flashlight. Girls were good sports :) The joys of weather

Good times! It all melted that next day...

"Creative Kids Club"

Kassidee has joined what's called "Creative Kids Club" at school. She earns extra credit and gets a great recognition for research projects, book reports, becoming a great leader etc....
Kassidee in 2nd grade, is doing a "Fantastic" job.... Her teachers tell me all the time how unbelievable she is! Makes me proud :) It's amazing how much Kassidee learns at their age, and how well she retains it. Since they started the Spelling this year, she has received the bonus and challenge words every time! She has a spelling lesson each day at home and Friday is her actual test, she has received 100% on every test! Kassidee is doing awesome in reading, she is already in a 3rd grade level. She gets books from school everyday to read, along with doing the extra credit comprehension report. She also is in the reading club, that if she reads over 200 books she gets to go to Fiesta Fun at the end of the year! She's almost half way there :) GO KASS..... Math has been fun for Kassidee and I! I've always loved Math, so teaching my girls has been an enjoyable experience! We pull out the real money, and show time on the real clocks! Kassidee has a math program that she is learning at school - which she is doing great!
Kassidee loves art, she says her favorite center at school is art! She has done some amazing art projects... I ask Kassidee what she wants to be when she grows up (an artist)..... It's so much fun to see my girls progress and learn each day! I am proud to be there mother, so grateful each day I get to see them learn and help teach them.

Good Job Kassidee!

"Star of the Week"

Maddison has spent her (3rd) and (4th) year with Watch me grow preschool. They have a fantastic group of teachers. Maddison gets to be "Star of the Week" when it arrives on her name. She gets to take in treats to share with her classmates. Star of week makes the child feel extra special, There photo goes on the star board and they get to be the first helper. Also they get to be at the begining of the line, they get to pass out papers! I think it's awesome because it boosts the child... Maddison was believe it or not (shy) and now she just talks off the teachers ears and has so many cute little friends. I absolutely LOVE Mrs. Julie's Outline! She gives you so much information and handouts for the children to learn outside of school. She has a fabulous 5 ways to encourage Literacy in young children. She does writing and reading, which Maddison has a practice wet erase sheet she practices her name everyday, sometimes 3 times a day. They do so many fun art projects and let the kids get messy and show there own sence of style. This year Maddison is learning the letters of the alphabet and every Wednesday gets to do her homework on that letter. So example, we working on letter L: 3 options she can choose from for her homework 1. (write a letter to someone at school. Bring it to school and give it to that person) 2. (Go to the library and check out a book, bring it to school and tell about it) 3. (Make a list of the things you love, bring it school to share). Encourages them and teaches them that homework can be fun. Maddison has learned a tremendous amount from Watch me grow. She has also learned alot from her older sister Kassidee! Maddison is very smart, and wants to learn all the time! She loves to the dot-to-dots, write stories, type, any color and paint activity, cut out and glue her art projects! She loves to make jewelry! I am so proud of her, and look forward to more fun times ahead.

Good Job Maddison!
