Tattoo Dedication

My oldest brother Jake lives on the islands and I got to see him this Thanksgiving Holiday. I was so overjoyed the second I saw him. I gave him a huge hug and just couldn't let go! I swear I hugged him for 5 minutes. It's been 2 years since we've seen each other - so it was a moment for me to sink it all in. Jake also did some tattoo work these last 2 years WOW! I got teary eyed, because he got a sleeve of the exact tattoo's that were on Ryan's arm in dedication to our brother. The date of when Ryan was born and the date he passed. Every tattoo on his arm had a meaning and I think its so cool that Jake did this for Ryan. A tattoo is a true poetic creation, and is always more than meets the eye. Tattooing is about personalizing the body, making it a true home and fit temple for the spirit that dwells inside it.... Tattooing therefore, is a way of keeping the spiritual and material needs of the body in balance.

[A] genuine tattoo.... tells a story. I like stories and tattoos, no matter how well done, and if they don't tell a story that involves you emotionally, then they're just there for decoration,... It tells people what you are and what you believe in, so there's no mistakes.

Even More FUN Thanksgiving Pic's

I had to create a slideshow because of all the many pictures I took over the Thanksgiving Holiday in Colorado! It was also Shianne's big 15th birthday so we had a party for her.... Yahoo! It was fabulous, she got lots of fun cards and gifts and the candles on her cake were the trick ones :) they kept lighting - hee hee! Shianne is growing up so fast and is such a beautiful girl. I can't believe she's 15, she'll be driving next year! I am so proud of her, and I am honored to be her Aunt. I had an amazing time with her and our one on one! Love ya babe, Happy Birthday.....

I love "Family" and I love "Thanksgiving". It reminds me to be grateful for all the many blessings in life, to not take anything for granted. Hanging out with family brings me such joy and happiness! It also brings such a peaceful and warm feeling inside that I can't explain. I'm sure you all know :) I just want to say THANK YOU to Blogger for creating this wonderful software. It has given me such pleasure to show off my family and the many great things happening inside of my life to express and brag to all my wonderful family and friends. I love you all.

My uncle Bill took it and said say "Hairy Pickles" Shianne and Kassidee cracked up laughing as you can tell, it was price less. These are the best photos when this happens! True personalities....
So we got Shianne looking forward, but then Mitch and I and April were cracking up harder for something else my Uncle Bill said, but we can't mention that one on Camera (hee hee)

I love this picture! The first two grandkids. Shianne and Nathaniel. Look at them, they are just all grown up. I remember they were just babies and look at them now! 15 and 13 oh how time just flies by. We had too much fun hanging out together. I miss them so much.. I am "Thankful" for YOU......

STONE

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT .

DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT;

AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE IN THE FACE

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT,

BUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING, WROTE IN THE SAND ,

TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE .
THEY KEPT ON WALKING, UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,

WHERE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE A BATH

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED

GOT STUCK IN THE MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,

BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING,

HE WROTE ON A STONE: 'TODAY MY BEST FRIEND

SAVED MY LIFE' THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED

AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND ASKED HIM, '

AFTER I HURT YOU, YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,

YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?' THE FRIEND REPLIED

'WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND,

WHERE WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.

BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,

WE M UST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE

WHERE NO WIND CAN EVER ERASE IT'

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND

AND TO C ARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL PERSON,

AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM, A DAY TO LOVE THEM,

BUT THEN , AN ENTIRE LIFE TO FORGET THEM.

TAKE THE TIME TO LIVE!

DO NOT VALUE THE THINGS YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE,

BUT VALUE WHO YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE!

Bringing Life Flight Helicopter to Dixie

What a great time we had at the Julibee of Trees! I love to go and check out the most amazing trees. The thought and imagination that goes into some of these is unbelievable! All proceeds this year are going to a life flight helicopter for Southern Utah. What an amazing donation and well put together charity! One of the tree arrangment (furniture, accessories etc..) auctioned off for $10,000 towards this gift. The girls had a wonderful time, they got to do some awesome crafts, put there name in some drawings to win, and also saw Santa. We also explained to the girls the meaning of the Julibee of Tree's and they thought that was totally cool :)

2008 Jubilee of Trees Key Initiative
Because critical illness or injury can strike anyone at any time - or anywhere - a locally based Life Flight helicopter will greatly speed the delivery of lifesaving care. From those in the sunset of their lives to tiny newborns just opening their eyes for the first time, everyone will benefit because time saved means lives saved - giving the best chance for survival, recovery and a healthy future.
A Life Flight helicopter stationed at Dixie Regional Medical Center will:
Reduce response and transport time of critically ill or injured
Provide rescue in remote areas not accessible to fixed wing aircraft
Eliminate the need for access to airport facilities for transport, saving 30 minutes or more
Provide the best chance of survival and recovery because care is delivered in flight and on site, regardless of location
The overall level of care and quality of life are enhanced for both adults and children throughout Southern Utah and the surrounding area
