"Beautiful Advice"


An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

*2009*

Countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 "Happy New Year" ..
After we left First Night, we went over to some close friends Kevin & Kerry's house. We hung out and of course played Guitar Hero.. WHO ever invented this game ROCKS!!!! Not only is it a BLAST but you get to play together as a family or with friends or both. Everyone gets involved with playing the drums, guitar, base and vocals! You really get into it and its so real. You're challenged with notes and keeping the band together to pass the songs!
I am really looking forward to 2009 and what its going to bring me and everyone around me! I have so many great things, idea's and goals I would like to achieve this upcoming year!

New Years "Eve"

New Year's Eve was allot of fun, we planned a whole day of fun! Mitch had to work (bummer) so the portion of the day was mostly me and the girls.. We put puzzles together, laughed and made funny faces, colored pictures, played Guitar Hero World Tour, played at the park. When Mitch got home we went to Applebee's for dinner! YUMMY....
Then we took the girls to "First Night" down town St. George. There were allot of great activities to choose from.. We watched competition Rock Band, which was amazing.. These bands were playing on Expert and hitting 90 - 95% of the notes. Ever since Santa brought us the Guitar Hero World Tour the we LOVE and get so excited to watch others play it.. The girls choose to get Balloons from the clown, Maddison got a heart hat and Kassidee got a sword. They played on all the fun time slides and bouncing ring! They were good sports on how cold it was and having to take their shoes off to enter these rides.. We listened to the live band play music, had hot chocolate, made crafts and much much more! It was allot of fun to hang out with my family on this sweet New Years Eve.

Christmas Presents

Where has the time gone! It's already the New Year and look at me still posting about the Christmas holiday (LOL) I took so many pictures over the Holidays that I seriously had to sit down and choose which ones to use..... Christmas Eve was allot of fun! My family came over and we baked pies, played rummy and opened gifts to each other... This year was really special to me because Mitch, the girls and I handmade clocks for everyone! So we put allot of time and love into these beautiful clocks.... the excitement and facial expressions were priceless! We all had a blast hanging out laughing and enjoying each others company and stories. The kids had a blast playing with their gifts from each other. I love being with my family :) Merry Christmas

Santa was here!

I love Christmas morning! Hearing and seeing the excitement out of the girls is the best! Both of them wowing everything that Santa and Mom and Dad brought to them. Waiting to open every last gift and sharing the fun things they got together. Mom and Dad got them some new boots and clothes.... Santa, this year did alot of family gifts because we love to spend time together... One that was most exciting was the "Guitar Hero World Tour". We can play as a band! Now of course we are all new at this, so the first 2 hours I was just giggling on how bad I was, but practice makes perfect.. hee hee - Kassidee picked up on the guitar in like 10 minutes, now she is like a professional guitarist. Totally gets into it, I just love it..... Maddison loves the drums and I'm getting better at the drums, even with my blister (LOL), Mitch and Maddison are the best little singers too! My little Maddison knows most of the words already because she listens to the CD's with Mitch all the time :) So much fun! Thanks Santa for bringing us all the fun and exciting gifts.

Serving "Homeless Shelter" Christmas Day.....

What an awesome experience this was to share and volunteer our time to help bring the Christmas spirit to these wonderful families! I helped cook one of the turkeys prepared for this wonderful Christmas dinner/program. My Mom Debby, Mitch, Kassidee, Maddison and me also went to help serve Christmas Day! It was the first time for my girls to volunteer at a function like this and they "Loved it".... Both my girls asked lots of questions about what we were doing and I expressed to them the reasons behind it and how it can effect one persons life... Giving is such an amazing feeling and quality that I will try to teach and instill in my girls. I remember when my mom took us to volunteer (I was about 8, Kassidee's age), and it was the coolest feeling I've ever felt. As I got older, the stories I heard got a little harder because I could understand more. But it didn't stop me for doing it again the next year. Others are less fortunate and this helped me to not take life for granted. To appreciate what I have and what I don't. That Family is the "MOST" important.

Serving desserts!! They had those beautiful smiles the whole time! I was so proud of Kassidee and Maddison for doing this... They said they were excited to do it again next year :)

Mitch and I walked around and helped pre-bus the tables, got more drinks, empy'd the garbages, helped the little kids to see Santa Claus! Talked to alot of these families, and heard there stories... I was so happy to be here and to help! The tears of joy came, but the feelings of excitement to see these kids get bags of gifts from Santa were priceless. The smiles on their faces was enough. I am grateful that I was able to take time out my Holiday to help others in theirs :)

12 days of Christmas

Is a wonderful tradition that we've done for many years, since I remember as a little girl.. Each year we choose a family to give 12 special gifts to. It is a combination of great food, poems, games, decorations, and toys for the entire family. It is a magical way to give to these wonderful families that may need a little extra for the holiday season! I absolutely love giving at this time of year and this is one way that is fun for me and the girls seem to love it too.. My mom, dad and my family decided to choose my sister April and her beautiful family :) It was actually really challenging to keep it a secret from her for those 12 days, but in the end it was well worth the wait to see the tears and joys of happiness that came out of it. That is the best and most priceless part.......................Love ya Sis!!!
